At this workshop, co-hosted with Royal Bank of Canada, we will discover how to effectively prepare for and successfully navigate difficult conversations.

Having difficult conversations with others can be daunting, yet when done well, extremely valuable. During this workshop, co-hosted with Royal Bank of Canada, we will look at how our brain works and how it can sometimes interfere in an unhelpful way when it comes to having difficult conversations.

Learning strategies to manage your mind and set you up for success when having these conversations will not only benefit you, but also those around you.

Jess Thom

Jess Thom is a British Psychological Society Chartered, HCPC registered Sport Psychologist.

Jess has more than ten years of experience in elite sport and has worked in a number of different Olympic and professional sports including Premiership rugby and football, and the British Olympic shooting and bobsleigh teams. She has worked with athletes from a wide range of individual and team sports from as young as eight years old to adult professionals competing internationally. She recently travelled to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics to support Team GB as a Performance Psychologist. Jess currently works with British Shooting and the GB National Tennis Academy in Scotland.

Alongside her work in sport, Jess runs a successful Performance Psychology Consultancy, Mind for Performance, and supports a variety of clients in the corporate domain. She is a highly-skilled executive coach and delivers engaging and transformative workshops across a breadth of psychological concepts.
